In my work with Auburn University's Composition Committee, I am researching the needs of translingual/L2 writers in composition (and other writing-intensive courses), as well as the needs of their instructors.

Threshold Concepts

I am currently working with Christopher Basgier of Auburn University to conceptualize threshold concepts of writing across disciplines.

Public Writing, Public Rhetoric

Studies of public policy and the creation/circulation of texts (and bodies as texts) has allowed me to study disenfranchised and at-risk populations.

Trauma Writing

I have used the frame of trauma writing and feminist rhetorical practices to examine the writing of official reports--particularly reports of sexual assault.
